Hi All
Generally speaking are (New) Font Iso rubbers of a slightly softer compound than the rears??

Thank you

Malc

Yes, always should have been, but both maybe softer than what was used for a good many years in the 80's,90's through to around 2012.

That great, thanks
Just unpacked Christmas present to self ...front & rear Iso kits from AN.... and noted the different rubber compounds

This makes sense, since I replaced the iso rubbers a couple of years ago, I noticed an increase in vibration, I was told that this would "smooth out" after some time of use, but it did not. Are the iso rubbers that are available today indeed different from the stuff that was sold a couple of years ago ?
I bought the material from a reputed supplier at the time.

The hardness varied through the years of production, then varied through the aftermarket years with certain versions definitely too hard. AN a few years ago revisited the hardness and picked one of the softer versions from the productions years so they are the ones to use to be certain to get the correct softness. When only the hard ones were available in the aftermarket years you could soften them by drilling holes in the large diameter rubbers.

it may depend on your source of supply, i was recently sent a set of iso rubbers sourced from Norvil, they were so darn hard it was almost impossible to get them installed. you want the the AN iso rubbers, and don't accept the carp from Les Emery(Norvil).

It changed it with the advice of a certain dealer apparently. My opposite number changed the hardness back to drg spec when he joined AN.
