Has anybody tried the Plod Pad? Interpol seat by any other name of course. I was
thinking one might do for me curious if others have had a go. Will it accept
a Interstate tank?

Weatherwise perfect and yes I did get some time in on the road this afternoon hence the thoughts posted.
Next Ill be asking about a good fairing!

I believe the Interpol seats were not much more than cut-down versions of the particular model's standard seat.

The Interpol single seat I have has a fibreglass base with steel ears bonded into the base, they are set for the Interpol tank that has the same shape as the Fastback LR tank but with cutout for radio so the ears are between the roadster and interstate positions and so do not work with either tank.

Yes, so the Interstate tanked version Interpol would require a different single seat.

Why don't you buy a solo seat with hump for your model I have the interstate one fitted to my Wideline Featerbed and is very comfy Burtons British Bikes has seats for all the Norton models and he is a good person to deal with.

Just looked, not in stock and too long. I want the smallest butt print so to speak. Maybe Ill make something out of glass fibre.

Thanks but previous posts say Plodbottom fits not Roadster nor Interstate.
I looking to use my Interstate tank.

I think the previous post saying that is only partially correct, I’m no Interplod expert, but I definitely recall seeing pics of late spec interstate tank equipped Interplods...

The seat will match the tank it was designed to suit, but all the ones for sale I have seen did not say what tank they for in the info. So unless the seller knows or has an Interstate to try it on then you have to buy blind. I bought mine blind but it fits the Interpol tanks I have, if it didn't then it would have been out with the fibreglass to reposition the ears.

As previously mentioned, the later Interstate tanked version Interpol seat would fit.

Go onto ebay, there is a Vietnamese seller who does Commando seats and will customise to suit your requirements for a lot less than Corbin. The Interplod seat will not stop you from sliding off the end onto your mudguard.

I cannot imagine a Commando has that sort of torque! Perhaps rearsets obviates that somewhat.
Should have gone with the PW3 I guess. :)

I like the Corbin seats ... just got one for Griso , have a Corbin Gunfighter on the Commando... funny how the costs go up with the exchange ... Corbin price for Griso seat was $473.00 usd by the time it got to my door it was $816.00cad and my wife saw the cc bill .... I also really like the Interpol seat matched with the interstate tank ... hope prices are better than what I have seen available.... good luck !

Is this the type of seat you are looking for?

Broken link removed

The ad states it is a Corbin seat
