Had a right rear indicator on my 13 Sport break. It worked, but was flashing quickly whilst hanging there. Ordered a new OEM. Replaced it but not the wiring. Only unpluggled the spade connectors inside the unit and plugged them into the new unit. That's because it had a much larger connector.
Tested. Flashed quickly. After a while, flashed normally. Ok. Didn't use the bike for a few weeks due to sub freezing temps.

Fast forward to today. Bike fired right up. Signals worked intermittently. Won't for a ride. Signals only work over 3500 rpms or not at all standing still. Any clue? Was thinking my battery was dying, but keep it on a tender religiously and bike cranks right up. Do I have a break causing resistance. Is my flasher relay going and needs more juice to work? I hate guessing.

Enjoy the weather, gents. If you get a day, use it wisely.

Try a new flasher . Even if you can only find the round auto type try it for a test. If it solves your problem you can order a flasher on the internet that will look and fit like the original. My flasher broke around 10,000 miles , probably from vibration .

Thanks Tony. Did you have similar symptoms? Ill get in there and check. Kind if coincidental. Maybe I tugged a little too hard getting that connector out through the access hole under the tail.

Tony. What kind of flasher would be looking for on the internet? Mine is all over the place on flashing! Last time I road it it happened. Haven't ridden it since cause of weather.
The way it's working it's most definitely the flasher. Seems to be affected by RPM.

Thanks, Tony. Going to see if an auto parts store carries anything similar. If not, ebay. Did you try that with the incandescent before you went to LED?
Could you explain what "potting" means?

Also, more than likely unrelated, stopped for fuel after a flawless ride. Restarted, cranked and sounded "slippy". Reset key, started after some cranking, idled low and stalled at stops. Was very close to home. Waited a minute, restarted, idles fine.

Fit the new relay today, Tony. Worked like a champ. Fits a little loose on the bracket so I just put a wrap of electrical tape on it first to keep it from slapping around. Thanks for the ebay link. 10 bucks well spent.
