Hi Guys,

Do you know a good way to brighten and shine up powder coating? My frame was powder coated at some point in its life but it's not particularly shiny any more. I've read mixed opinions online. Has anyone successfully polished up their powder coating? What did you use? Is it a waste of time?

I use Meguiers Classic Gold Liquid Wax on my powder coated frames and they look great and I also use Original spray cleaner wax which is very easy to apply and remove for occasional light cleanup and shine.

depending on how unshiney it is, mcguires scratch removal compund is nice....but if that isnt doing it. No.7 rubbing compound (OSH carries it) with clean it up then buff with polish......and then finish with plastic polish (mirror glaze).... after all, powder coating is just melted plastic powder

Rattle can clear lacquer is an old dodge to shine and brighten dulling paintwork. Test it first on a unseen surface.

Try Brasso. I have used it on various plastics over the years. Then consider following it up with a carnuba wax.
