If you get a chance, go down to san jose and visit Rabers. Nice guys. There's a couple of guys on here that live in S.F. im sure they're down for a beer. Lots of bikes in the City (that's what us folks that live in the valley call S.F.). There's a few bars that are bike oriented. I'm not a S.F. guy so I don't know the names. Zeitgeist is one, been there once. I think it's still open. Anyway, it would be a good place to meet some folk. Have fun, there's lots to do there!

C'mon S.F. guys hook him up!

Adam,
I had a week or so in SF (my favorite city) back in the late 90's with the wifey. Walk around the city one day, it's not that big, but hilly. Take the ferry to Tiberon, but go very late and miss the tourists, like you are going to eat dinner in Tiberon. There are a couple of good restaurants there within walking distance from the ferry. Take the last ferry back to SF, the night lights are wonderful, like a Christmas tree, very romantic. Go down to Big Sur and have dinner at the Post Ranch Inn. Go early enough to have some daylight, the fog will roll in and you won't be able to see anything then from the all glass restaurant. Take your swim suit if it's warm enough, they will let you swim in that special pool they have.

LV is fine if you like gambling. Not my idea of a good time, but each to his own. If you want to do something else, take a ride over to the Hoover dam and take a tour. Grand Canyon is not too far away, but am not sure the best way to get there, it's a big hole in the ground, like none other.

I'm sure the local SF guys will have lots of ideas.

Munroe Motors in S.F. is worth checking out, a British bike shop that has been around since the '50's. North Beach is walking distance from your hotel, many good bars, cafes, restaurants etc.
