Help 2 'puters but only one password?

Don't remember my password after a few times getting new one here. Anywho, asking how to access my data to copy or change password to pester list from 2nd 'puter.

You can change your password by going to the User Control Panel, select Profile, Edit Settings.

OOPS! Just discovered that you have to know your current password in order to enter a new one. Good luck!

I once was shown but now forget where 'control panel' is found. I am currently on atuo password-logged in so expect my edit functions will be open when I get there.
Seems remember its was small print at bottom but don't see it in plain sight, ugh.

Top left



> User Control Panel > Profile tab > Edit Account Settings.

However, if you have forgotten your current password then you can to log out and use: "I forgot my password".

[Edit] I'm not sure why you think you might need a different password to log in from a second computer?

Ugh. I and my observant wife can not find the image you displayed with index and control pannel on my screen. The forum index line is near bottom of page and does not open up a page to display Control Panel to me. Ugh.

I tried a number of passwords, being 1/2 smart I only use a few variations on Commando theme for almost all my passwords but none worked on 2nd 'puter and implies I've forgotten it again and will have to create new one, after some days of hand holding digital guidance to even access my account. ugh.

I believe it exists as I believe you and I've entered it more than once a year or so ago. Hope this conveys how hard learning Norton is to me.

You have to be logged in-or you will not be able to see "User Control Panel".

So, if you haven't done it already, click "Login" (top right) and then click "I forgot my password". Enter your username and the e-mail address you normally use for this website and click "Submit" and you should receive a Jerry Doe e-mail containing your forum password.

OHhhh. I assumed since I can post here I was logged in automatically as I could not post from the other 'puter w/o logging in. My Pass word was NortonCommando, how in the world I might of changed or forget that or don't work no more is beyond my digital comprehension. Whoever tries to post in my place will be ratted out unless its as scatter brain texting as hobot.
Thanx for your help though others may not appreciate that.

Will tag forgot password and see if that flys.

I don't know if the system will allow you to auto log in from more than one computer, but you could try selecting Log me on automatically each visit next time you log in on the other computer?

Ok maybe, but first must get the 2nd 'puter to send a valid password to log on. Been at work till now, so diving in hoping it don't go like some my Norton fettering.

OK- or rather my usual ugh. From my 1st 'puter box I can post but not access my account nor even find a log in/out or control panel text to tag.

From my 2nd 'puter laptop, the log in text showed up so I requested a new password sent to my only email, which is on 1st 'puter and used it to log in this instant on the lap top. As I type here I can see 'control panel' upper left plain as day. If I tag that from this laptop to change to a text name password, will this foul up my 1st main 'puter access?

IIRC I just left the coded password on main 'puter, so no wonder I can't enter my usual password pack to log in, I think : (

So like my Combats I dig in to fix one thing only to discover another mystery-misery, I seem able to post from both 'puters now but can not log out from 1st main 'puter nor access my account to change anything from it. I'm pensive now I'll be blocked from one or the other or both at once while trying to get more mobile access.

Well seems I can now post from main and laptop, but suspect both have different code passwords. Still mystery why no Control Panel on main 'puter. Oh well its working fine as far as I can tell or care.

I have no explanation for that, when you log in, your username (hobot) should only allow one password and that same password should work any computer.

I can only guess that it could be a firewall, ad blocking or other security setting on that particular computer which is preventing you from seeing it?

Two things I've learned, don't screw too much with a well running Commando nor with stable digital systems. But I would like to change my avatar now and then so need some clue on how to access control panel from main 'puter where photo's stored. I want to keep hobot as user name but having gone through cosmic ray wipeouts of well worn passwords on ebay and others, I ended up re=registering with hoboter etc. My guess is it I ever do log out some how from main 'puter your forum digital immune system will think its an attacker and not let back with old account so only lap top access.
