Hi
I have been watching from the shadows for a while enjoying and benefiting from the experience shared this forum , I thought I might like to join in, so here is a little about me and my Norton.
These days for my day job I design anti-skimming equipment for cash machines. Back in the 70's through to the 90's I earned my daily bread as a bike mechanic for various dealers and factory motocross teams at world championship level, also had some involvement with road racing and classic bikes and car restoration.
The day job may have changed in 98 but I still love motorcycling and motorcycles. I have a few bikes and a well equipped workshop.
Last November I bought a scruffy 75 850mk3, that originally shipped out from the factory to Canada made its way to Minnesota and then back to the UK and me.
As you can see time had not gone easy on the poor old thing, though it actually looks better in photos than it did in the flesh
So time for a little TLC.
I have like most of you put in a lot of hours and a fair amount of cash ( now on first name terms with the guys at "Handover Norton") to bring the bike to a rideable condition, I will post some photos of progress soon.
Looking forward to the summer
