Hi guys, I wanted to visit the site after having a pretty lengthy period away from the Norton boards. I used to like coming here and reading everyones posts and did learn a great bit of information. I belong to some Norton groups on Facebook and stuff but by far they are more misinformed about the inner workings of these machines than folks in the community local and this board. I'm glad to see activity here and look forward to participating in discussion again!!

My bike is only a battery away from running, I have done just about everything to it and I am thinking about getting a few more modern bits soon like modern clocks and possibly some suspension stuff to fresh it up. Its a great bike and I just think it will never be sold.

Hello after long time off!

Cheers guys!

The bike looks great, did you get the battery yet? For 12 years mine was in storage and I came under a lot of pressure to sell it, but I was determined not to. Now my 25-y-o son's showing enough interest in it for me to think he'll want to keep it when I'm gone, although he hasn't mastered starting it yet! No electric start see, and he's not the heaviest guy in the world ...! Cheers.

Welcome back. That 750 looks ready for fun, don't make it too modern.... :D

yeah man! maybe this time you can bring out the old bike!! I am selling my rc51 and since crossed into sport touring for modern bike and now playing with the Triumph Sprint ST.

Glen

I want to do some modern clocks
modern isolastics
modern head steady
modern axle

don't know what else but just looking for under the hood upgrades and not stuff that makes it look dumb.

I just looked at my Commando and realized it has a rather modern looking front brake (Madass) that works great.
Ignoring my own advice as always! :D

Forgot about that. Sport touring is cool and that ST is sweet.
Next time, I can bring the Commando.

RC 51... "Designated Duck Killer" ?!

Great bikes, I had one as a track bike. A nice stock road bike is a sure fire 'future classic' ... you might wanna re-think selling it. Look what happened to RC30s for goodness sake!
