You can drill two holes in the swingarm, and weld on two 5/16 nuts, and insert the bolts, this is just as efficient at the Kegler clamps, at no costs.

I considered this, but given the thin wall tubing, concluded the nuts would pull/pucker upward when tightened.
The clamp is a better fix, IMO

I experienced that a very small play at the pivot pin can disappear only by mounting the clamps without the fixing bolts. With the bolts additionally it is a secure fix.

Looking at the web, it is easy enough to source the clamps in the UK, in stainless steel too if you want some bling.

Honestly said, it was not easy for me to get one, because inch hardware is hardly available in Germany. Ordering at amazon.com was easy, no trouble with customs checks, etc.. With express option it arrived within 4 days from the States !! But there seem to be nothing in the amazon stock at the moment, so it will last longer. If you need it faster I would call customer support - maybe they transfer some to amazon stock. Or ask them where to get one in your area.

Hi folks,

I dounloaded the instructions that Norton 73 pointed me to and build my own. No problem finding the clamps. Went to local beariing supplier and he had them in stock.

Thanks all!

These boys have made it easy for anyone in Europe, they're good guys and easy and professional to deal with. Scroll half way down this page:

My own bike was down so far that I decided to do this 'properly' and Mr Norman White is doing his cotter pin mod on my cradle.
Actually he turns this mod around very quickly, so well worth considering if you're in a mid winter strip down state!

If you can drill tap and have a bit of material laying around, this is what i did

According to Norman: cotter pin conversion, inc parts (set price) £270. Plus vat I assume.

Andover Norton also sells a pre-Mk.III type cradle with the cotter pin location for £235 (+VAT)
