Question:
Did I put these on upside down?
headlight bracket question

Upside down, wrong side...but NOT inside out. OK then....

Now I have to mess with those O-rings again.
Just what are they there for, keep things from rattling around?
Where are they supposed to end up?

Thanks!

Apparently so!

Crude-but reasonably effective!

A single O-ring fits between the bracket and the top yoke and 2 O-rings fit one on top of the other between the bracket and the lower yoke.

Guess I accidentally got that part of the assembly procedure correct.

I was actually more sure of the brackets being right until I ran out of clearance between the gauges and headlight shell.

Thanks!

use a little O ring grease to hold them in place two at the bottom one at the top. Bit of a pain but well worth it because they do stop rattles that you will hear. I Know!

I had some grease tube grease, still a royal pain, needed more hands than I have available, and some specialty tools:

Probably made it harder than it really is, but there's a lot going on all at once while I'm fumbling and cussing around with it.
