headlamp shell

anyone got a headlamp shell from andover norton (06-7283) and had experience of the mounting tubes which are pressed onto the shell on splines coming loose ? so you tighten up the bolts and the shell moves up and down still , did my first ride in the eve and the beam of light was just in front of the front wheel , moved the headlamp up and it came down on its own !
will take apart later and see what can be done .

Vibration fractured the area surrounding the welded in nuts on my Atlas headlight shell. The only remedy is to rebuild the area by welding in washers and new nuts. No guaranty the rebuild will not suffer from eventual vibration death.
