Although I am a Harrier fan, even I know that the reason these are rare is basically that there was not much demand for them!

So, it’ll be interesting to see if this seller gets the asking price…

Never seen or heard of the Hinckley ones before
What market would it be aimed at?
To me it's not one thing or another
Did he make a Hinckley triple powered version?

Exactly.

Even the original Harrier (for the Beezumph triples) was a niche within a niche, aimed at a very small number of fools… (yes… I had one).

Making them for the old generation Hinckley twins may have just about made sense… prior to the 1200 Thruxton being launched.

So, even as a Harrier fan, I wouldn’t be interested in this version.

And, whichever way you look at it, this must be grossly overpriced.

It could possibly sell at between 5 and 7k I'd guess
The 25k asking must be a spelling mistake!!?

A little disappointed, I tought it was going to be about one of these... Harrier !

as far as I'm aware no Hinckley triple was ever converted. I remember this one when it was first built and thought it was about a 1/4 as good as the real thing.

My mate was a 22 year Navy Harrier mechanic - he doesn't hear very well now !
They are loud, I was out to sea onboard the USS Essex (gator freighter with the MEU -marine expeditionary unit-) I was a mechanic with the Navy's HC-5 (helicopter combat support) squadron, and the Marines had 6 Harriers with them and when I was up on the flight deck with them it was quite a sight to see, especially when returning from a mission and landing vertically!! I might add though that there is or was nothing like being on the USS Independance and standing next to the catapult during night ops while an F-14 Tomcat was at full throttle awaiting launch. Everything reverberated with those freakin' engines powered up :)

Great stuff CJ !
I was a Metro Brigade fireman for 30 years and one of the lad's brothers was a Tornado instructor, Richie always said his brother did better with the girls than him , can't think why !

The Harrier at the Eastbourne air show a good few years back hovered over the sea & gave a bow! It raised a curtain of sea water around it. Memorable. The Vulcan was magnificent over Beach Head. Yet the one I would most like to see fly again is the English Electric Lightning, that brings back memories of my youth on the fens of East Anglia watching them roar overhead. A fantastic shattering sound, a pilot sitting on a rocket.

I remember some harriers taking off vertically at the Farnborough air show when I was a kid in 1969
It was a bit of a stunt to suprise everyone
They had some sort of camo placed all around them
As they went up the camo and dust went everywhere
Then later in the day the Concorde flew supersonic just above us
The sonic boom was something else
No wonder it got banned from flying supersonic over land!
And to think people actually complain about my peashooters!!!
