gyro bike - 'all 2.75 tons of it'

With the Ducati Panagale, reversing the direction of spin of the crankshaft helped stop it from running wide coming out of corners. When the crank rotates clockwise looking at it from the timing side, the power vector goes away from you. If you reverse the direction of spin, it comes towards you. When you add all the vectors to get the resultant force, the force is in the opposite direction. Most crankshafts are fairly light. Imagine the effect of a heavy gyro on the handling of a gyro-bike. It is extremely easy to build something which would scare you shitless.

Heavier than a Rolls Royce. . . .no wonder that they didn't make more than one!
