Hello,
I recently contacted Dave Quinn regarding a set of Hagon shocks.
He spent like a half hour on the phone w/ me explaining the purpose of having the right shocks.
Not once did he rush me during our conversation and he made sure I felt comfortable before we move to the purchase phase.
I got the right length and spring rating because I learned. If I ordered w/o asking the questions I did I'm sure I would have installled the wrong shocks again. The earlier Emgo shocks I ordered have a lousy ride all around.
If you need Hagon shock google Quinn or Hagon.
Hope this helps 8)

I bought a set from him and he's a nice guy for sure. I just wish I could find something over here better for the MKIII than Hagon.

As with a lot of things, you only tend to get what you pay for, and Hagons are middle priced shocks that work well enough for many riders, but if you want something better then maybe a pair of IKON shocks are what you need, of course, they are more expensive. http://www.ikonsuspension.com/content/i ... tors.shtml

I agree L.A.B.
You get what you pay for and they arn't bad, but I find mine to be underdamped. I have a standard set on the Triton and a set of adjustable damping ones on the Commando and I find both to be underdamped.
The best set of shocks I ever had on a bike were Marzoccis with an air valve on a adjacent cylinder, on a BMW R80. They were also rebuildable, apparently. Fantastic shocks, but an ugly shade of Orange.

I just checked out the site. For some reason I thought ikon was cheapo Chinese stuff. I'm wondering if their new alloy bodied 7614 will fit a MKIII so I sent them an e-mail. Thanks for the link L.A.B.

I was looking for a realatively stock look when I selected my Hagon series.
I show my bike locally and enjoy an upgraded ride.
If you are looking to make a Norton into a cafe racer or rework the entire image than
the skys the limit.
Anybody looking for a stock look has a limited selection.
I heard mixed feedback about Ikons
Didn't want to spend money on another dud of a shock.
Emgo's qualified for getting the bike back on the road but it is time to do better.
I think if you are looking for an air ride in a gas or oil shock you will be greatly disappointed w/ the current selection.
I didn't care to spend $500-600 for a bike I ride seasonally.
Just wanted to expand on the forum respones for anyone looking to do what I did.

Hey, I just noticed the Canadian dealer is in Nakusp, very close to Lumby. If you could wait and if he stocks an inventory, you check em out en-route to the rally next year. As far as that goes maybe that would make a great destination for a group ride during the rally. The road is definitely motorcycle suited.
