Spoke with Fred at Old Britts (really nice guy) and decided to order the power arc ignition system, bought the whole set up so we will see how that goes.

Also sent my oil tank to Matt at CNW (another great guy) to have the tank modified and cleaned up, will post pics and what I think when I get it back in a few weeks.

Gonna get on having my master cylinder fixed and the brakes. Will use this time to clean up my wheels and probably order some Avon A26s, sounds like most people like those on here.

What type of battery should I use on this bike. Also, what are most of you using to strap the battery down? I will have to go and get a fuse holder for the battery line since I am missing the connnector end to the battery. Will probably go and get a blade fuse holder to put on it, from what I read one needs to use a 15 amp fuse, am I correct?

Once I get all these parts in, put on new oil lines (stainless or orignial style, suggestions??) should not be long to get the old Norton on the road!!

Getting there slowly!

I'd give Fred a ping and tell him what Commando you have Estart or not for size of battery specified but even tiny battery can get a Commando started then running above idle some can keep everything lit, mostly. Only positive reports on the new Avons, just your choice on size, which mostly is how fine a sense you have of ballerina narrow tire or bit longer wearing slightly sluggish feeling larger tire.

While you have fred on the phone ask him about the power arc ignition. I purchased one and there is a problem with it as far as starting goes. Its set up for electric start, so if it doesnt start first kick, you have to turn the key off and back on to reset the brains.Otherwise it is a very good running system.
