General observation and a helpful forum hint

I find this forum often very helpful and sometimes entertaining.
But there are a few that just waste everyone's time with nonsense and insults.

If you go to the user info screen as if to send a PM (click on user name in any of their posts), you will see an option to 'mark as friend' or 'mark as foe'.
i do not know what the former accomplishes, but the 'foe' setting hides all their posts.
VERY nice option to cut the thru the clutter of a few who have too much time on their hands.

I know exactly where you're coming from Tomas, I rarely post on here unless I feel I'm contributing something that other people might be interested in, or I want some info. I to have become a bit alarmed at the belligerent, even bullying tone of some of the recent posts on here, they are not in the spirit of what I've come to expect from most of the guys on this forum.

Sometimes I have to access this site from another computer that this site does not recognise and it will keep popping up a stupid thing onto the screen telling me to log in or register.
I have used so many passwords & log in's for this site that I have no idea what is valid now!

Everything I try does not work anymore.

Who can remember things like OGFKA2GH or 4U1G6EF ?

The Ducati site is even worse!

But I still think this is one of the better specific interest web sites out there and Jerry has done a great Job of giving us Norton Nuts a place to get together..

Agree Bruce - great site and very happy Jerry keeps it going!

One more thing...
I find the search within the site to be less than useful. It returns too many threads from the same topic and often is not accurate with multiple search terms.
Searching outside the site with google and including the work "Norton" often returns links to more relevant threads within the AccessNorton site.

It's certainly happened before, but I do remember Moderation kicking in and said Troll being kicked into touch.
Still uncomfortable viewing though :roll:

If somebody gets nasty, I usually just ignore it and concentrate on the information, try to make sure that my own comments are respectful. I have a certain approach to motorcycling and always try to stay constructive. I tend to prattle on a bit, however being on this forum helps clear my mind on various issues. Sometimes those nasty comments have a valid point to make. I've only ever found one guy on this forum to be a bit terse, however in many areas he is extremely good and accurate. You simply learn to live with people like that and appreciate their value. I've never marked anyone as a 'foe', and I don't think I would ever do that.
