G80s gearbox kicker problems

I am about to tear into a newly rebuilt (by someone else) Burman gearbox on a 1951 G80S. I am having difficulties with the kicker lever. As I bring it through its movement there is a place where it feels like it binds and is missing a tooth. Not really sure what’s going on so I am about to remove the outer cover to start with. I have been looking around but so far have not found a good workshop manual for this 1951 vintage Burman. Any words of wisdom from the forum?
