Friends, does anyone have, or know where I can find, a front hub or wheel with good spindle and bearing to spare for my ‘68 Norton P11 scrambler?

I don't have one to spare, but I have a very poor condition front rim that I'm thinking of replacing. I think Buchanan's can pretty much drill and spoke a rim correctly but you'll probably have to find a suitable hub and axle? Perhaps the Matchless Parts Program in England can help?

My friend in England may be willing to sell his spare spindle but he would like to know your address so he can calculate postage. Please let me know .

I sent him a link to another advert, someone in the UK is selling a complete wheel less brake shield.

Hi.
I dont like so much the skimmed hubs.
I prefer the flanged one, but is very difficult to find the 1963 front “interim” hub.
On my P11A i have the flanged one (i know that someone can say that they are for 750 Ranger only!).
But, if you see pictures, you will find that most of the P11, P11A, P11A Ranger, mount skimmed and flanged.
Maybe they mounted what they found first on the chain?.

More likely the wheels were damaged and replaced using standard Matchless hubs. Since the skimmed hub was not used after the P11A, the stock of spare skimmed hubs was likely to have been scarce.

Regardless, if you like the look of ribbed hubs, by all means use them!

Ranger hubs with heat dissipating fins were practical on a street bike, plus did not require any labor to modify.
