I would like to replace the master cylinder /throttle / switch box on a barn find MK3. The master cylinder is frozen and the switch box is well corroded. I am not worried about originality, just a good quality replacement ...perhaps looks good and performs better?

I recently fitted one of Madass' master cylinders, it looks good but brakes even better, after may years messing with the brakes I can now safely put that part of the bike to bed once and for all!. His master cylinder however is made to fit the original switch gear, but Andover currently sell a repair kit for the switches, along with a bit of polishing the switch unit would repair nicely. If you really aren't bothered about keeping the switch gear, then any 13mm master cylinder would do the job well, there's no end of them on fleabay, to take your pick from.

I have a Hinckley Triumph master cylinder (MC) from a Street Triple.
The piston diameter is 14mm, which seems ideal, as the OEM piston is 5/8" or 16mm - too large with a wooden feeling.
The other benefits are that you can use modern, adjustable dog-leg levers, and the brake switch is reliable.
Here's what it looks like:

BTW, you'll need to use the Street Triple right side switch cube for ignition cut-out and electric start button if reqd.
I also use an old Hinckley left side switch cube:

Although currently unproven on the Commando (under restoration), I use an identical setup on my Trident, and it's perfect:
