After a year of construction and another year of burial in the basement of my house, today it is resurfaced my 1971 Fastback Black Knight (I like to call it so).
Is a collection of parts from 1967 to 1975, I gathered all the more I liked every type and years.
I met a lot of difficulties but I enjoyed it a lot.
I will have to accommodate other Commandos, but now I'll devote myself to replace also my 1969 BSA Rocket 3.
Ciao.
Piero

Thanks for the show off efforts as I like looking longest at a nearly new factory edition. Best wishes on straight forward restore on the BSA triple which might not last in routine use like a clunky ole Commando.

WOW, pierodn. That is a fine collection of parts you have there. Tremendous!

I suppose because of the nature of the build that there is no "before" pictures. That's a small consolation for such a fine example.

Great Work.

Hi Pete,
thank you.
Now i have a problem: all the parts I removed from my other Commandos, I'll have to retrieve them elsewhere (or remove them!!!!!!)
Ciao.

If and when you ever sell it, you can advertise it as a 67 to 75 model. Then list all the part numbers, to confuse them!
A little bit of something for all preferences!
With those solid front forks you could nearly tell some dope it is an Atlas. Tell him the head steady collapsed and the motor tilted.
:))

Well done Piero, you should be very proud at what you have done, now just get it on the road and enjoy it even better.

I don't see anything wrong with that bike except some wrinkles in the seat cover.

Classic beauty.

You're right, but the seat I rebuilt myself, I modeled the foam, I cut and sewn the skin.
It was one of the most difficult activities.
In truth I have one other original perfect seat, but I like more this because his imperfections reminds me of the commitment that it took me.
Ciao.

You've done a superb job Piero, well done.
30 years ago our post man did his rounds on a red fastback, it wasn't quite as pretty

That is really really nice. I like the elements you've chosen to mix, disc brakes, fork covers, ammeter. A very nice bike.

Then I have even more respect. I know my limitations, and one of them is upholstery!

Super job! The bike looks great and it's your own special creation. It stops. it go's. it looks cool... what more could you want? You are going to get a lot of questions from other bikers. Enjoy

Job well done!!!!
I have a 71 Roadster and will use some of your ideas for inspiration on my upgrades / mods.
:D

Well I for one don't like it........just kidding Pierodin I agree with everyone else here and echo their congratulations on a super build.....I guess if I had to point out something about it that didn't like, it would have to be .....that it is in your garage and not mine :)
