Can anyone recommend someone who can check my frame for straightness after my recent accident? I know that the lower section of the steering stop was sheared off the neck and that some welding will need to be done, also. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Might be worth checking the Norton Owners Club as well, many on there don’t use this site but will have the experience you are looking for

I see you are in Santa Cruz. I was over the hill in Cupertino until last year, was in the local Norton club there with Ken Armann.

I used Doctor Johns Frame Repair in Anaheim. I have three frames and I placed a straight edge on the top tube of each one to check straightness. All three were slightly tweaked at the head and the seat loop. Charged me $400 to straighten each one. He’s well respected in these parts.

Kenny died in 2013. He was quite a guy.

Don't be afraid to look at a used frame. For insurance purposes see if they will spring for a new one (US$1200).

Tell him Hi from David Crader. The Commando in my avatar to the left was bought from him in 1997.

Hi, I was there for about two hours today, but didn't see your message before I went. He said he would come here to check out my damage. I will tell him hi for you then. Ok?
