I will be going live with the new forum later today I think.

Its going to be a bit of a rocky road as we are migrating to a new platform. A couple of points:

1) Gallery images will be lost, but you get a better Gallery and can start fresh with those images.
2) All members will get a certain amount of Free image hosting space (I have not decided how much). VIP-members will get at least 150MB of image space.
3) Your username and passwords will import into the new system.
4) The new system is not completely finished yet and you are going to see bugs, but not many. I have to go live to fix the bugs.

Wish me luck with this. Its quite a challenge to get the import scripts working right and its been a huge ordeal making the new form. Access Norton as you know it will be gone later today.

Early days yet Jerry, but it sure looks good so far. Well done for all your efforts.

Thanks- Yes lots of tweaking. I had to go live as the old site had a major security issue. Please post here any bugs

Is it possible to see the attached files as full size in the thread, as opposed to clicking on their icon to pop them up? I quite like that display mode on the old forum.

Jerry, It looks like the new upgraded site is going great guns. Nice job! Thanks for all of your hard work. The first time that I saw the new look site I had just had the bandages removed from cataract surgery. One of the side effects from this type of procedure is that whites become very vivid. Your new site has much more white and boy does it have some extra pop for me. Again, NICE JOB!

Looks good so far!

My gallery images were from quite a while ago, so no big deal for me. I have used a scant few lately, but not important.

Thanx, Jerry.

Just like that!

I uploaded the image, then linked it's address. Two steps, but it works...

If there is an option, maybe allow paid members to upload full-size instead of just thumbnail?

Is private messaging unavailable now? Mostly likely I cant figure it out...

Click on the member's name, then click "Start a conversation".

Click 'Inbox' (top right) to open Conversations/PMs.

Not sure if this has come up, but in the screen view where the list of latest post show up, there is a lot of wasted vertical space. Which means that a small number of posts appear at any one time (about 8, I believe).
This makes for an uncluttered look, but the tradeoff is it is not very scannable.
Is it possible to change the layout of the list of posts so as to increase the number of posts displayed?
I took a quick look at a few other forums I follow, and the number of posts on one screen:

18 Wildgoose Chase Guzzi http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0
16 Gold Star http://www.britbike.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=27&page=1

Discussion thread titles, in open threads, appear as black on black on my PC screen, making them invisible. Discovered this as I was about to write you to point out that the titles were not being displayed.

Noted. I will put it on the list to look into this,

Try this and see and see if it helps: Move your mouse to the left of the screen and on "Norton Commando Forum". This will bring up a window offering you to try a different theme. Select the "Default" theme. That might work better for you. You can make that your default theme always by changing the setting in your control panel.

I think it probably affects all of us who use the dark theme, as it's simply the thread title that's black on black so invisible unless highlighted.'

Highlighted, it's visible
