Several of my mate's and myself in the 80s had a number of different models of Ford Capri and also Escorts Cortina's and Granadas all of which used similar or identical brake parts from the Ford parts bin. None of the discs would fit a Commando without making a special centre and they are all considerable thicker and heavier also. I would say that the only thing Ford and Norton brakes have in common is the use of 3/8" UNF threads on the hydraulic fittings.

Aus mag. said GT brake . Tripe .

looks like its a Spitfire / Vitesse / Herald Triumph Disc . :D With the wrong number of mounting holes . :(

Though a cunning sod could drill more holes and call it Lightening . :x :?

Blanket FORD discs originally were great heavy things on GTs ,( Cortina ) fitted to Mk IV Zephers , Corsairs & Lotuses .
A 68 Mk 2 two door had the same 9.75 Dia. with thinner discs and lighter calipers , more sensitive on gravel etc .

Early were P-16 , Mk II escort & Capri M-16 . The new improved metric ones were lighter , and the calipers flexed ,
wearing the pads wedged . The BOLTS were metric too , thought theres a Mk 1 Capri V 4 Caliper Bolt that's metric shank
imperial thread , for fitting M 16 Calipers off Mk 3 / 4 Coortinas to Mk 1s & Corsairs . Which are faster !

Heres the Triumh Disc , which are 2d.

theres fancy vented bigger dia. etc. kits for Triumphs ( CARS ! ) too , if in olde blighty a call to the supplyer manufacturer might get you somewhere . Remember the price is for TWO . So you need to get ANOTHER Commando , unless you want a spare disc .
