There is a new long-term food study out being widely reported today: https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/10/health/planetary-diet-longevity-study-wellness/index.html
I'm sure most of it is true, but still a bit annoying when the whole story is not told.
They go on about saving the planet by not eating or eating less animals. And they tell you how much a cow farts in a day. Cows eat vegtable matter. Cows turn that into meat that we eat. Vegetables make us fart, eating meat means we fart much less. There are about 1.5B cows in the world and 8.1B humans in the world.
Would there be any net gain if we didn't eat cows? Seems like 8.1B humans eating vegetables instead of cows would make more methane! Of course, they want to not to eat animals but focused on cows.
