17- Blendzall bean oil
Hey Jim, I sending Maxima bean oil instead of Blendzall. Blendzall has ep additives Maxima doesn't. I thought it would be most interesting to see how just bean oil performs. If you like I can send some Blendzall for testing.

I will be glad to test both of them -if you would like to see how they compare.

When you do the comparison chart can you label which ones are synthetics and which are dino. I lose track with the brand names.

I will continue to label them as conventional or synthetic on the graph

Hi Jim, sent you some embers from France to keep you keeping on. Would check for some european oils to send you. If customs let it go in.

Don't konw the US market, but are the tested oils among the most expensive on the market?

The prices of what I have tested go from mid range to high end.

I would suspect the lowest price oil tested so far is the Mobil 1 v-twin which can be had here for ~ 8 dollars a quart.

A couple in line to be tested are in the 3 to 4 dollar range per qt.
Castrol GTX and Quaker State

About the only thing cheaper than them would be non-branded oils or store brands.

Oils I have available or coming - yet to test.

1- MPT Industries MPT376-20W/60 Hi-Performance Fully Synthetic Motorcycle Motor Oil

2- Ravenol J1A1706-001 SAE 20W-60 Racing Oil - RHV Racing High Viscosity Full Synthetic

3-AeroShell Oil Multigrade 15W50

4- Klotz V-twin Engine Lubricant Multi-Viscosity, 25W/60

5- Lucas Oil 10702 SAE 20W-50 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil

6- Brad Penn Penngrade 1 Oil 20W-50 Motor Oil

7- Quaker State 550035081 Advanced Durability 20W-50 Lubricant Motor Oil

8- Castrol 03095 GTX 20W-50 Motor Oil

9- Amzoil 20-50 motorcycle oil

10- Amzoil 10-40 motorcycle oil -new and old formula

11- Castrol R-40

12- Motul 5100

13- Amsoil racing 15w50

14- Amzoil motorcycle 60w

15- Amsoil Signature Series 5w50 automotive oil

16- Amsoil DOMINATOR 15W-50

17- Maxima Racing Castor

Plus I will likely be retesting some of the better oils I have already done.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm gonna quit trying to update my earlier post. Collating these results will need a spreadsheet, which I just might do anyway.
Good to see you using some product numbers to ID these samples. I've noticed that this market is somewhat dynamic; products come and go, with slight name changes.
And I might suggest that if folks are sending in samples, they also provide some pricing info as well?

Was saying this because here in France we have a store brand selling in their own bottles, what is in fact Mobil 1 Syn, for a little more than half the price of the same oil in a Mobil 1 bottle. 28€ for 5 liters. Gives ~ one quart for 6,55$.

Here on Amazon we can have 5lt of Mobil 1 Syc SF 0W40 for 52,50€ which is around 61,50$ ~ 12,3$/qt

Have done 165'000 miles with it in a new car with no need to add some between two oil changes, so it's 7'500 miles. The oil always stayed at top level of the dipstick. After 155'000 miles I had to begin to add some.

We know those big stores are not oil makers, they just buy huge amounts and they have substantial discounts.

I'll be very interested to see how the Castrol R40 handles the test. For years it was seen as the best option for race engines.

Just be careful. I do like to use Mobil 1 oils in my cars.

But the only Mobil 1 oil that I have found suitable for use in a Norton has been the
20-50 v-twin oil.
The Mobil 1 car oils failed very quickly in a Norton.

If I mount an assault on the salt, I would work for head porting, assuming the rules would still call me "Production". I may be wrong but it appears my stock framed stock engine Combat would run in PC 'Production Classic'. The 2017 record is held by a Honda 750 at a shade over 112 mph. I think I could do that at sea level on pavement. Up at Bonneville, hmmmm. I'm going to try and find out if I'm allowed to have head work done, plus megaphone exhausts, plus an electronic ignition. I might have to get one of my 120 lb grandsons to ride for me.......
