Started to fit my Keihan flatslides today but have no gaskets for the manifolds to head as the single Mikuni I took off were stuck on and tore. I should be ok to make some from a Kelloggs packet shouldn't I as the Mikuni ran fine without the heat insulating washers that the Amals have?

You could just put a thin layer of hi temp RTV silicon, but cardboard from a cereal box is OK in my book (I would smear some RTV on that too)

Thanks, thought so, will get cutting and slap some silicon sealant on

The rubber boots act as insulators. I just used gasket paper and cut my own.
I think Captain Crunch works better though.
I know Hobot uses Trix on Trixie.

auto parts stores usually carry an inexpensive gasket paper assortment that would work better, good to have on hand in any case...
