Hello, I am just for the first time the forum registered. I am from Italy and I have a 850 Commando to rebuild. missing parts to the bike like the head, cylinders and pistons. What do you think of pistons built in Taiwan? Someone has to sell the parts that I need?
Ciao
Mauro

ps
Sorry you my bad English

Hi Mauro and welcome to the forum! Got any photos of your project?

Head, cylinder and pistons eh, that's a tall order. If you have lots of money to spend you could go with Steve Maney barrels and a Fullauto head but if you're like most of us and don't have enough money to spend than ebay and the classified are the main sources for used parts.

PS: your english is much better than my italian.

Hi Mauro

GPM pistons are made in Italy for the Commando? Should be able to find some at home.
E bay for the rest. Europe wide searches turn parts up barrels heads etc every month or so.
good luck
Chris

Thanks friends for suggestions. I will tell you how. I sent photos of the bike soon sleeping in wooden crates for now

Welcome Mauro.

I put in some JCC Taiwan pistons that came with rings in about 4,000 miles ago.
Came in Emgo box. Looked well made.

No problems and when I changed oil after about 2,500 miles I'd used about a cup of it.
These pistons were under $100 including rings from an EBay regular seller.
