Head is fitted and running. First impressions?
Yep you can certainly feel the difference. Engine winds up so much quicker. Takes a bit to get used to really but after initial run yesterday then re torque, gave it a good nudge up to 6000rpm. I would say that it gets there 20% quicker at least.
Am running 36 mik but plan to unleash the potential of twin 34's in a coupleofweeks.
I suspect power wheelies are on the horizon.

Well, if your arse is well calibrated, that's bloody impressive!

Yep
Clinch factor 8.5 up from 5.4. Bit more than 20% but hey who's counting.
Really need to spend some time and chalk up some miles.

Ken, thanks mate. In the end had to find my own solution through mazda (believe it or not) so in essence, I have an Australian, American and Japanese top end. Once I get the pwks on you can add china to that also.
Who said we weren't a multicultural mob!

Also, thanks again for your offer of help with regard- well you know. As I said, kindly appreciated.

Ken from FA
Good bloke in my books
Cheers

What did you get from Mazda?

Did I miss what problem you had? I recall the deliberation about valve springs, but that ain't it, is it?

I hope you've modified the crank, mains & cases to handle that kind of load; too many Commando crank explosion stories.

What are clinch factor??

Exciting to read but next weak area is the drive train if not already beefed up. Also keep some rear tires on hand as won't last 2000 miles if routinely pressing ass into seat cushion. Do let us know if ya run into Hinged behavior limits. Very curious to hear what dual smaller carbs do. Kelly George tried them size duals and bigger > so ain't what he races with anymore. Great uplift to us to read of your new found joys and more to come!

Clinch factor = how tight you clinch your arse cheeks together in excitement. 10 being a fishes arse, 1 equals explosive diahrea

Nah no need. I don't flog the crap out of my bike. Was just giving a point of reference. Under hard acceleration, without feathering the clutch you can feel the front tyre just start to skip a bit.
