I've actually thought about checking this bike out as it's not too far from me. But then I remember riding an Electra back in the 90s.

Kinda like riding my old CB 175 but with the CB handling better and perhaps also being a bit quicker. I have always liked the lines of the Electra, though. Sometimes it's a curse only having a two and half car garage and other times it's a blessing. Storage space limits what I have room for.

No- it is unique as the individual frame sections are bolted instead of welded together. Six different pieces. Not the most attractive frames ever made. All of the press formed frame members reminds me of the old Honda Dream frame. The few examples that I have ridden seemed to exhibit a bit of flex. Of course with such weak HP numbers there really wasn't much stress on anything. An acquaintance of mine has at least 7 of these beasts. He just loves 'em and can go on and on and on about them. My eyes start to glaze over after about 10-15 minutes. A lot like when my wife is lecturing me.

Cheers Steve. I've never seen one in the flesh. If it was close by I'd definitely take a look

When I lived in Washington State I met the Electra Guru when I happened to look into an open garage and saw all of these odd looking English bikes all lined up. He was selling a rough runner and a parts bike as a twofer deal Interesting guy that lived breathed Electras.
