It still happens, just not the Holly Grail I wanted. I got a call from a friend who said his neighbor inherited 8 bikes. Wanted to know if I had heard of Nortons so I went for a look, hoping to find a International, 650ss etc etc.. What I found were two 75 MKIII's, one totally complete/original with 19,000 miles looking like it was parked yesterday. The other a rusty rolling chassis complete but missing the tank & one side cover and a 3rd that is a earlier 750 rusty roller complete with glass tank, no side covers etc. eng # 20M3S145941. See the add I put in the "For sale" section if interested. I don't have time/space for them. The sad part is there is a totally complete 60's Bultaco Metralla I would love but not for sale, a 2nd one that WAS complete and apart for painting but a junk man took the frame!!! He should be shot. He got a super clean Yami RD350LC, a junker 81 BMW K75 & a Kawi 750 triple in parts as well as the Nortons.. He was going to send the British stuff except the clean 75 to the scrap metal place so at least the Norton Gods should be happy with me for stopping that... Oh well, back to the search for my barn find International. Glenn T.S.
