What started out as a wet and windy day saw only 151 bikes, trikes and scooters turn up for the annual Easter Toy Run for the Tauranga Hospital. My first and I had the only Commando there. There was only one other Norton.
Police escorted ride started in Mount Maunagnui, down through the town there, along the beach front , then acroos to Bay Park, into the back of Tauranga city and ended up at the rear carpark of the main hospital, where the rescue helicoptors operate from.
Pics are from my phone so not so good.
Plenty of BBQ's & raffles for fund raising , trailer load of toys for the kids of the local and regional hospitals.
Few other Brit bikes as well.
Armed defenders (SWAT) put on a simulated car chase and caused a bit of mayhem with smoke bombs and thunderflashes for effect!!!
Regards Mike
