Welcome Norton enthusiasts, (I need to get the Hemmings accent)

I got this message from Jake today.

"Hi Dave, thanks for the pics. That tank is definitely something I am sure we can do, if you want that particular style gas cap however, we will need to source those..otherwise all I have is my billet threaded caps we currently use.
I actually got another email this morning from a guy looking for this same exact tank...weird.

There are a few different ways to go depending on the qty you are looking for.
Please let me know what kind of initial order you are thinking and we can work the details, and yes I will need a "donor"tank to copy.
Thanks

Does anyone want to go forward with this? The cap I was asking about was the Caendass. It's not something I want to go into as a reseller. The other email to Jake was from T95 in Pacifica, I'm pretty sure. If we could get a list of interested people and some sort of confirmation, maybe we could work with Jake. Who's to say. I think T95 said he had a tank he could use as a donor.

Comments?

The original type Ceandess caps are still available from the manufacturer here in the UK. However any prospective producer is either going to need a fair number of firm orders (deposits paid) or tooling costs up front before doing anything much with a project like this, but problem free GRP tanks for Norton seem like a product which would sell very well indeed.
