Not much to see, but it sounds nice so whack up the volume, makes a pleasant change from listening to yet more Christmas Carols...

Dyno run

Do you have new data to go along with the noise or is this an earlier dyno run?

Tis just the earlier run I'm afraid. Work and family have conspired to curtail my planned workshop activities somewhat thus far this winter...

It sounds as good as it looks! Lovely and yes, what are the numbers like?

I posted those a while ago Keith, but in summary, the figures are 56bhp at 6200rpm and 50ft-lbs torque at about 5300rpm.

Power curve was very linear, although the peak was at 6200, it is flattens out considerably from 6000. Torque is very flat, above 46 from 3300 right to 6200rpm which I was impressed by.

I'll be very honest, I was hoping for a little more than this, it certainly feels like more. Although this is on a Dyno that I have used for several years and I know to be 'conservative ' compared to some others.

Prior to the rebuild, with its low CR and single Mik I'd guess it was 35-38bhp, so 56bhp is probably still quite healthy in all relativity.

I liked the picture of the CNW hat run over by a lawn mower!

It wasn't a lawn mower... it was Ned, our Rhodesian Ridgeback, say hello:

I saw the title" Dyno run" with your name attached and was eagerly anticipating the answer to my question, " do I buy a Fullauto head, or stick with what I've got?" Then read on to find out it was the earlier run. You are a tease
Incidentally how long do you think it will be before you will have you Fullauto dyno'd to compare with the RH10?
I'm still agonising whether to go with a TTI gearbox, but first would like to know how the new head performs.

Dyno run

This was mine before it was dyno'd. It was in Roadster trim then with the 2-1-2 exhuast on.

Hmmm, sorry about that old chap!

Trouble is, its January next week and I've had so little time to play in the workshop of late. Last year I took far longer to get the Norton back on the road than planned and lost most of the riding season as a result, I really don't want to do the same next year. Bottom line is, I'm begging to think my FA experiment might have to wait until next winter.

So either you could wait for my FA feedback, or you go first! Of course, if you wait, you've no excuse not to buy the TTI in the meantime...!

tti boxes and FA heads......££££'s! this classic bike stuffs expensive game.

Going to see if Normans open on the way back down the a303 eddie!
