Drouin question.

I have been watching them for years, and if they can be found they go for $2000 - $3000 USD.

With cogitated long term planning I snagged the last 2 'complete' late model versions of Drouin for $1500 from Calvilerri in NY then sold one to Bruce McGregor, a whiz machinist that re-engineered them for another almost ~$800 bux each, so invested $1500 in Ms Peel's about 7 yr ago. Bruce has run his on essentially stock 850 since then and still does. I'm a slow poke on Ms Project so hope next yr to make some whining noise down the road and off. It took me like 4 yr of hunting and snagged two earlier incomplete versions w/o the belt adjuster and sold them off at cost as over my head to adapt-upgrade. Doruin made versions of these to fit Sportsters, Pacific rim bikes as well as Brit Iron so might find one of those that needs manifold and crank pulley to cross breed. The Lake Injector that worked a treat in non draw through non boosted applications will stick on blower suction so more money and time to make Lake safer like me or use a carb like Bruce. Blowers take the strain off engine and wear if not over done on rpms which all Norton are allergic too. But with the huge Torque hit who cares just gear up 4th as that's all ya need once on pavement. Drive train must be kept in mind but Tom Drouin could load blower over 12 PSI and Bruce over that, by being brave and hard hearted to snap the throttle and still hang on. Only one I know that might have enough spares for another Drouin is Ray Rayborn in NC I saw again at Empire Ralley. He's planning to use Drouin on a real righteous Chopper as already has a UFO like hi tech refined white/blue/gold 850 with rear view camera and screen.

I received some Drouin literature from a rider in Canada that came w/o return address but d/t packed in events last month I forgot who sent it to thank.
