Its time to lose the anchor behind the rear wheel. I haven't seen any plug and play tail tidy units yet so I'm going to fab something up. Ian wilson did a nice job on his. Any others got any pictures to show of their set up.

Thanks GLB. Thats not that far from the direction I'm going. Interesting they use a clear tailight overthere

Mine... Very robust (survived a track day). I also replaced all the rear lights with an LED strip (brake light, rear light and indicators), the bolts securing the number plate are LED bolts to meet the NZ requirements for number plate illumination - also replaced the indicator relay with one suitable for LED indicators. With the small volumes of bikes you'll probably need to get your own fabricated - mine cost around $120NZD.

I had the same number plate lights on mine but they vibrated themselves into oblivion and the plate fell off when riding through France.

Apart from that though, they were great

Ok first attempt here on 10"x7" piece of aluminum with a $6 Ebay light. Pardon the roughness as its not in its finished state but you get the idea. Planning on using the rear two screws on existing light to mount. I need to see how sturdy it'll be as is. If not back to the drawing board.

Looks like a pretty good job fabricating that aluminum. What is about 2 mm thick ? Are you worried that it will crack from vibes ? Maybe go to 3 mm thick ? Nice job.

Its 14 Gauge Aluminum which is only about 1.6mm thick. Im sure now I'll need to go thicker as its very springy when mounted. I'm also worried too about the rear wheel, if its too close ? Ignore the hardware on the plate, that will be much shorter later

I myself wouldn't bother with the license plate light and just make it for the plate only.
I'd also only use 2 screws to hold the plate onto the fabricated bracket and cut off anything beneath the top two license plate holding screws. It's just a license plate holder, no need for addition weight. Removing the license plate light would allow you to move the plate up higher and gain additional wheel clearance. You could also get lights like the one posted on the above photo if you desire lights.

Good points Voodoo. NYC is a ticket machine at the moment and I wanted to stay somewhat legit. I pretty sure even with the light etc its not legal as the plate is supposed to be behind the wheel ,hence the anchor :(

Hi Again , YES might be too close , one good bump and it will kiss . Look at the tail tidy that GLB has posted above . His has less downward angle , and more straight back .

This is the next one I'm going to try, the no frills version. I hope it feels strong enough. Pix on the bike next time I get to it.

If the thickness of the aluminum seems to flimsy you can always go thicker if this prototype works out. It's only holding a license plate. As I said before I wouldn't worry about a light but that's just me.
You could also wear a Orange hunting jacket and put your license plate on your back like hunters do lol.

Do you plan on installing the megaphones?
I have the short Motad mufflers and catless X pipe on my Commando SF and love the way it sounds. After I receive my Naked and do the 500 mile break in period I'll switch over to the megaphones.
Are your turn signals the new LED ones Norton installed or aftermarket?
Looks great!

The short Motads are great no doubt and I'm very happy with them. I'm on the fence about the Megaphones. They look great and I'd lose the triangle hangers but it seems they are really loud? Also I'd need a remap and I dont think thats open sourced like Tune ECU or Guzzi Diag which I've used before on my other bikes. I have a dealer nearby but have not built up a relationship with them yet as I purchased the bike out of state.
The signals are LED Rizomas that were on the bike as delivered
