Doing Recommended upgrades

I'm planning on doing the recommend upgrades to my EURO 3 SF. I've got most the information from this site, but still have a few questions. Replacement parts I'll source from UK preferably.

What I intend to do:

1. Replace Relays. I have 7 to replace. I see Honda 38502-MCS-G01 relays are recommended. I'll get them from David Silver Spares. Can all the relays be replaced with these? I have 5 with 1724 written on them and 2 with 1602. Is there a difference?
2. Upgrade with Bosch coils (0 221 503 035), Bosch cam sensor (0 232 103 037) and Bosch head temp sensor ( 0 280 130 026) I've found these parts at www.onlinecarparts.co.uk. Has anyone used them and can recommend them? They're actually based in Germany when you look a little closer at the website.
3. Replace HT leads, I'll be getting the Magnecor KV85's unless someone knows some better versions?
4. Some NGK CR9EIX spark plugs from Halfords
5. Micro-Start XP-1 mini jump starter in case I have any starting issues with the 42" harness installed so I can access it easily. Found theses at www.antigravitybatteries-uk.co.uk
6. Bosch injectors (62207 / 0 280 155 931) I'd like to also upgrade, but cannot find anywhere that does them online. Not in the UK anyway. Don't know if it's because when I see compatible vehicles it lists Cadillac and Chevrolet, neither of which are common here. Does anyone know where I can get them from?

Any thoughts on my upgrades? Do you think they're worth it? Anything I've missed?

In particular, it operates irregularly between 3000 and 4000 rpm, with the updates nothing has changed.

It sure sounds like the O2 sensor issue to me. Have you done the elimination resistor plugs yet ? Also what ECU and map ? I have SC with #077-0116 .

I will update the O2 sensor, I have already purchased the plugs.
I have exaust decat, ECU SC but I don't know the map

Thanks Tony

I have done all the sensor upgrades plus the inlet manifold heat gasket and new TPS.
The 961 is a 2016 sport and is in standard trim recently put the 02 eliminators on and decat that made a vast improvement in performance kept the long standard pipes on which sound really good you do not have all that noise from the exhaust on the over run like with the other re-maps. In this trim would it be detrimental to the components or would anybody suggest re-map. Present mileage 8000.

I don't think you need a re-map if the mufflers are the quiet OEM ? Are you trying to fix something with a new map ? It seems to me you are happy with what you have no ? The open mufflers add a great deal of power/torque in the middle of rev band . Where you will be driving most of the time , but then there is the louder sound. Most of the time max power is not increased or not much. But it is that mid range boost that you get mostly as much as 5 HP on the dyno in the middle revs. Again , What are you trying to get or fix ? I like the louder mufflers , the open longs could be a good compromise and then you should get a map to match. I have lost track of the OMEX map numbers , maybe something like Clive has would be to your liking .

I had a head temp sensor fail got replaced under warranty, replcaced that with a Bosch and again with the latest from Norton last year. Had a problem with it picking up revs on tick over so replaced all the sensors and fitted a inlet manifold thermal gasket. Also the plug leads from Magnecore and gone back to NGK plugs as the Iridium plugs were breaking down as they were on my F1. Stripped the IAC valve cleaned and refitted adjusted the tick over and eventually got it right. The bike has always started and runs well. Just needed to know if I needed a remap so thank you Tony for the info on the remap issue. There is only the injectors to replace but I will leave that for another day. So quite happy as she is at the moment but I do have the long open exhausts which I may try at a later date. With all the upgrades I have fitted I have a bike that is reliable.

OK , Then you probably have the map I have . #077-0116 The ECU can be queried to report what load is in it. Do you have a dealer or do you have the SCS interface box and cables ? Lets try this , did you buy the bike new and put the loud mufflers on yourself ? If it came from a dealer that way they may have the records . Otherwise if you have the time you can send the ECU out and have it loaded again . Say Thiel or another dealer ? I was running #076-0016 for quite a while with the short/loud mufflers before I got the #077 installed at Cootes .

I have the SCS interface cable, with the SCS cable is it possible to see which map is installed?
Can the updated map be loaded with the SCS control unit locked by the factory?
I purchased the motorcycle with 950 miles from the previous owner, I have the long exhausts open and the decat fitting, in the garage I also have the original exhausts and the fitting with catalytic converter.
Leaving the engine idling for 15 seconds when it starts, as suggested by Richard in his post, it seems that the bike is doing better, but it is still early to say so.
I will try to do the idle check procedure.

Presumably you have downloaded the SCS software onto a laptop or similar. When you run the software it will show the map ID at the top of the screen. In this case 77-0116 as per Tony's note.

YES Exactly . Here is mine using SXCar :

This is another very useful page Switch Status , and you can read your throttle TPS voltage position. O2 sensor values etc..

You will need the factory software, SXCar, to upload a new map. The factory only supplied it to dealers, but since their demise it has become available from other sources to the rest of us. My source asked to not be named, but If you don't have it, PM me with your email address, and I will send you the installation file and instructions. The free SXTune software available from the SCS site is much more powerful, but will only work if you have sent them your ECU and paid to have it unlocked.

And a caveat. Some folks have had trouble loading new maps, even with the software and instructions. It can be a little fussy. Fortunately, SCS has been quite helpful with suggestions to those who have asked.

And when you hook up and connect both green led should be on and red flashing.

This is some of the reasons why the SCS Delta ECU is worth hanging on to. SCS allow us to support it with their software and technical advice .

Here you can see that I am in Neutral and my side stand is down.

I downloaded SXCar from the SCS website but I didn't know it was possible to load the maps with this software.
Anyone in possession of the most updated maps?
