My 183 pound mixed breed dog Ron ate my Norton Commando mainjets. I borrowed them to try in the 650SS while fettling that bike. They were a bit too large as I recall, think I settled on 240s for that. I put the Commando jets in a plastic ziplock back on the Commando seat. Ron came in the shop and after he left they were gone.
He's very intelligent and doesnt like me leaving home, so that is likely why he ate them. I think he knows that I know he's responsible.

Anyway, the bike ran great with whatever size mainjet they were, cant remember. Stock size for the bike is listed as 260. Most of my riding is at or around sea level. pipes are stock headers with open Peashooters. Would 270s be a reasonable choice?

It's going to suck sorting through his shit to find them.

I dare to say that they will not smell as bad as the 20 year old gas that was in my tank.

Hope they come out your over grown puppy w/o hanging up, then think magnet when hunting for the right stool pile up. Pack rats take my small items not inside tins.

He's a big sweety! Probably thought it was a bag of treats. Hopefully it passes without problems. I have had 4 dog so far, they all have eaten kleenex, wood chips and aluminum shavings, regularly. Must be part goat. Nothing in a bag so far. All passed without problem. I have 2 purebred labs now, One only chews toys and the other consumes the before mentioned items. Sometimes I wonder.

I'm thinking the baggy should make them easy to identify. Usually the poop goes in the bag, not the other way 'round!

Thats' a big Dog you have there Bwolf

This is getting to be a problem - One of my Flat slide carb customers had to order a spare plastic part because it popped off a spring, shot across the floor, his terrier chased it down & promptly chewed & swallowed it.

This happened several months ago so Ron must have passed them by now or he would have gotten sick. As a permanent mainjet Ron would need something much larger than the Amals!
I was out this morning going thru my mainjet supply looking to fire up the Commando, but dont have a pair of anything, so new ones will need to be ordered.

Ron once ate a 7 foot chunk of half inch rope and managed to get it about half way out.
My wife brought him into the house before noticing his extra tail, then picked up the foul odour and saw the rope dangling there.
I was at the other end of the house tip tapping on the computer when I heard the scream "GLEN...YOUR DOG!!!!!!!"
Thank Goodness she is an OR nurse and I was able to delegate the rope removal to her!

Must be something in the air. Just the other week her terriers ate a hole in the rear wheel well shield and ripped off the molding from the Mini. Who knows how far they would have chewed if I hadn't called them off.

My buddy around the corner has a large Yellow Lab. He ate the brake return spring on his dualsport Honda.

My brother and sister-in-law use to rescue rottweilers and those guys never really ate anything they wern't supposed to. They now have an American bull dog that "rescued" them on July fourth weekend last year and it has eaten over 200 dollars worth of shoes since then! The funny thing about it is that it only ever eats 1 of a pair! Oh and it has also eaten one arm off of their couch...go figure, right. His name is Charlie and he's a really cool dog, I don't have a picture at the moment or I'd down load it and show him off. Cj

our new puppy just ate the wifes hearing aid. That did not go over to well.

Glen

Ya I might be there depending when, I haven't heard anything about it. Big top in Chwk usually puts on a show but it's 95% thier show room bikes, always something interesting anyway

I've always had dogs, when I was a kid one of our dogs learned how to open the kitchen cupboards & for a while she got into the habit of taking whole boxes of cereal out to the back yard & would bury them. I would get up & go look for a spot with fresh dirt, dig it up so I could have breakfast!

After the mainjet problem, things went OK with Ron for a few months. Then my wife and I went to Hawaii for 8 days in February. He was very unhappy with that decision. Rather than put him in a boarding kennel, I had my daughter stop by twice a day to feed him and make sure he was OK.
Nonetheless, he took it out on the new Futon mattress I purchased for him just before leaving.
