The lounge room or bedroom of your house will keep the rain off!!!
I use standard 'silver type' m/cycle covers when I am away from the bikes for extended periods, my bikes do live in the garage when not in use, although have taken the silver cover on rallies and it is rain proof.
Try Oxford brand http://www.oxprod.com/#

My strong recommendation (for searching) is to NOT use the "Search this forum" box directly above and to the left of the forum. Pretty worthless even when it returns results.
Use the Google search box on the upper right. MUCH better results.
As to a cover, do you want one that has a Norton logo? Why not get a generic one? Dimensions of a Nort are not much different than any other bike. No?
No, I don't want a cover with Norton logo. I was just thinking someone would have a specific brand/size that is known to fit a Commando properly. I don't want one too big. We just moved to another house in San Miguele de Allende and although we like the house a lot more, there is no garage. So the bikes have to live outside for probably 6 months until we have a garage built. The rainy season starts in April…
I'll just order a "standard" silver Med cover for the Norton and a large for my wife's BMW.
Yep google with <accessnorton> part of search words gives lots better finds than the forum search which only looks at text not the subject line. Aslo seacrh words with images at end then click the source page. What ever ya settle on as a weather cover I higly recommend a robust cloth fabric interface sheet between the over one. I like bed blanket or padded shiping blanket the best. If exposed to strong breezes I perfer to tie cushioned weights on the cover rather than bungee it to bike or a combo of hold downs. If gonna be left a while so bugs or small animals might nest then a big thick plastic sheet to roll on and throw over the soft blanket then the weather proofer over it all. Could put an opened bag of charoal between the tires it wrapping in plastic sheet 'seal'.
Personally i dont like covers for long term use, the wind caused the cover to rub a few mat area's on the paint work, if used ,then cover the tank with a soft cotton blanket first, and plenty of bungies to stop the abrasive rubbing.
We never used to recommend our customers cover their cars or park them on grass or dirt. The moisture coming up through the ground does the most damage. If you have to cover your bikes, make sure the covers can breath.

That is why I suggested one of the portable tent-garages. There is quite a bit more airflow, while keeping the bikes out of the rain, and you can put down plastic/ply underneath the bikes to form a rough barrier for temporary storage.
