Chris caddie's dampers arrived......BENT  What the hell do the US post do with parcel's ...throw them from the plane, drive over them with the delivery van. or fend of attemped robberie's ,or remove truck tyres with them :!: :!: :?: for god's sake they are steel rods :!: I have offered to send chris new rods...encased in concrete!
I know they get dispatched in cardboard...220 sets OK, a woodern box would be great but it would be $50 post, and a woodern box would have to pass the US controlled timber regulation .......AMEN

That's approx $100 via UPS, and three months to wait for it :!:
The last six sets sent...1 damaged. 1 lost...and 1 not arrived after 5 weeks....

USps is going downhill fast. I've had 2 or 3 lost packages in the last year. No problems with dammage yet.

Maybe a length of PVC pipe? Are the units repairable? I might be willing to put some labor in on a pair.

Seems like something heavy was placed on them and the rod was bent the full exposed length. Kinda radiused like. Tried to straighten them, but they're still a bit off.

The staff at Lansdowne Eng .[ me] will send new rods if required :!:

Use the hardened cardboard shipping tubes. They don't fit the shipping holds to well so they tend to ride on top of the mountain.
And should worst come to worst. You can easily beat down a Customs worker with one.

John, if you could send replacements, I would appreciate it. I don't feel comfortable using the set I have.
Thanks.

Will Do, With Instructions; You may require a blow touch, loctite and a little common sense...will post Tomorrow,
Best Regards
John

Well, I've got everything but the common sense...
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. And I have a jackhammer for the concrete too! :D

Just got home from Oregon. Was up there for a month. The replacement rods were waiting for me, I swapped out the bent ones and it went well. Thank you John, for your assistance. I understand that issues with shippers is not normally covered by parts suppliers, but you took care of the matter anyway. Goes to show that there are good ppl out there willing to help their customers, even with isues that aren't their fault.

Now I've just got to take care of a few things and install them on the bike. Looking forward to riding on them, and will post my feedback when that is done.

Thanks again for your excellent service!
