Don't know if they come in a rebuild kit but certainly can order them speparate and do wear out so ask vendoer to send along with your order. Worth while to close up the damper bottom holes and move em 3/4-1/2" above the tapper lip on the straight tube area for silent bottom stops.
Pay attention to the insides of stanchion as spring rub there is bay far the most striction in Roadholders.
Thanks, mine has two holes near the bottom. So by closing them off and re drilling up on the non taper area really makes a difference? Any post info on the site. Would like to read up on it.
Here info on the damper hole deal. Some weld, some epoxy and some drive Al pegs to block lower holes, which don't need prefect sealing anyway but don't hurt of course. Nothing slides past these blocked hole so don't even need to clean up the patches. With hobot
Roadholders you get 6" travel, progressive dampening and spring rate with in-distinct stop reversals its still uncanny to me. I've kept my factory Combat with un-modified forks but for the damper holes and they are plenty good enough for on and off road trill conditions, sanely - on an un-tammed Cdo. Forks alone only go so far in stability but nice not to bang on bumps. Will still clang on top outs like lifting bike to move over something, other wise maybe only me that hits stuff enough to top out.
