    I’m looking to a cylinder barrel for a 650ss.
Eventually I can take it together with the head.

    thanks

I don't like buying from Norvil but they were making some noise about a year ago about casting new ones - could be worth asking them.

Could you send me the ebay link.. I didn’t found it:)
I wrote to norvil as well as andover.. let’s see.

alternative is to work an a commando one or on my 650ss head to make them compatible..I saw few threads on how to fit a spotted head to non spotted barrel.. but it’s my last option

Do you have a barrel that could be resleeved?

I posted this at 1.30am in the morning and didn’t have a good look at it. In the cold light of day one half of the cam follower appears broken which will be a very difficult if not impossible part to repair.

Norvil have done the casting and they are currently being machined. I know the guy that is machining them and if he is given the right information by Norvil they will be machined properly.

who will be the guinea pig for those? i really need pair, but resleeving might be a safer alternative.

also, i'd assume they'll be quite expensive, given the prices on his stock of clapped out barrels.

Alloy version is £1400+VAT and looks like an 850 barrel, cast iron version is £640+VAT and (hopefully) looks like the original one.
