The Connecticut Brit Iron guys put on their annual show on Sunday, 8/15. A good turn out, I'd guess a couple hundred bikes. We kept an eye out for the "afternoon thunderstorms" that threaten Summer days here, but only suffered minor sprinkles on the way home.

Hopefully this link to my Flikr photo stream works - I took about 40 snap shots.

Some nice bikes show up at this event, and the CTBIA guys do a great job. The show sports cold draft beer, chili dogs & burgers, purty motorcycles and assorted vendors. The '78 Bonnie in the gazebo photo was a door prize giveaway. The $10 entry fee gets you a chance to win that. I heard it run, it's a real bike.

The red 850 Commando is mine. Managed to take home 2 trophies; Best Norton and Best Show Bike Late Model Brit (70-94). A real nice day all around.

Congrats on the trophy. The BIA does a great job. I originally assembled my bike with help from Swiders in Salem.

Congrats Dave from CT.
I too took 1st place in the annual Glenside Bike Show held 1st week of August.
I beat out a 1970 750 S in metal flake Blue.
He looked a little frazzled when they called his name for 2nd place cause he spent some $ on it.
I truly was suprised a well as it's a rarer unit.
Oh well any show and any given set of judges?
I'm not complaining
She wags her tail and they a come runnin

If you mean this one, I believe it's a '54 Model 30 - it took a trophy in its class too.
