Hi Guys
I'm about to seal up the original oil way return hole from timing case into the crankcase and drill a new hole beside the oil pump.
I read that with a reed type breather fitted to the crankcase its advisable to block of breather holes between the two cases to improve operation of the reed breather
Does this include the drilling adjacent to camshaft bush which is where the thrust washer tab is located..... as I don't need to fit this washer?

Thanks

Can we assume you are fitting a reed valve breather?

And which engine are you doing this too?

Yes, I will be fitting a reed type breather to the crankcase rear...... make yet to be decided
I think... on the 72 is pre Mk 3 Engine. ???

Yes, block off everything you can.

I saved this pic and out it in my ‘useful stuff’ folder

Great work from our very own @Fast Eddie

It clearly shows the new hole bottom left under the oil pump too!
