One thing that really pisses me off about living in Australia, is the way we are manipulated. We have two government-owned media outlets - the ABC and SBS and many commercial - some owned by Murdoch. SBS puts many foreign news services free-to-air, but never the BBC News Service. What happens in the UK politically, is far more relevant to Australia than what happens in any other country. We have the same Westminster system of government and Murdoch is a constant in both countries.
