I ain't been in a cage for 9 days since on the way to Lake of the Pines Texas so having a blast living in C'do adventure routine again. Part of this adventure includes interludes of peaceful silence all alone on side of roads wondering how it will turn out. Had too many to list last decade but first solo one this year today as rode too many places-errands w/o fueling up so ran dry on way to late afternoon appointments. Had about a mile walk to call Wes for rescue then about an hour to watch birds and bugs and bikes with intervals of just wind and clear sky flowing by. Found a place in shade leaning cushioned in dead vines till Wes showed up, then donned helmet to have a stick bug end up in my face. Put it out and made it to work but gas up delayed me so had to return after dark, which I both love and fear to death. Life is so surreal to me now a days and want to keep it that way on a C'do, how about you?

I love the picture. Reminds me of many solo trips I've taken to collect my thoughts and get lost in the world for even just a little while. Though my Commando and I havent shared such a journey yet, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't take an instant for granted anymore House. I've had some mean let downs last dozen years that took a few years in between to back to risking it again on a Commando. Try to do one thing on project every day, even if its just plotting and planning details of your own dream come true.

Here's the rest of the the sky that day this spring.

Here's another end of the road surreal day I still flash back on. I got spikes in my groin at the urge to cross it.

i dont drive cars unless im forced to. Though there's always a risk of dumping and having the metal in my back grenading, i've never found something worthy of comparing the fun and relaxation of riding a motorcycle. It puts me in a good mood on the ride to work, something to look forward to toward the end of the shift. There aren't many people around here my age (that i know at least) that have a bike, there's one guy I ride with regularly. We both work night shift and have many times before, spent whole nights riding around the county or tristate, finally heading home right before or when the sun comes up. It's those warm summer nights I live for, especially the rare ones i'll leave my fox creek leather and back armor at home and ride with just a t shirt or open jean jacket and let the warm air beat me...
