Commando Headlight - bulb removal?

Hi All,

I've never had to replace the headlight or bulb on my Commando...until now it seems.

I've removed the headlight from the bike, removed the cap from the back of the bulb. I'm uncertain whether the bulb or the entire headlight requires replacement. With the bulb plug removed, the bulb now moves freely. However it is not clear how the bulb is removed from the headlight. If anyone can offer any guidance, I would be most grateful!
