Some time ago I purchased a clutch cable for my 74 850 and it had a nylon sleeve over the barrel end of the cable. This is a great idea as it allows for easier rotation of the barrel and reduces the chance the cable will break at that point. Question is, who made it? I didn't keep the package nor did I make a note as to where and from whom I got it. I would like to get at least 1 more. Ideas?
Thanks

Venhill in the UK.

If you want a nomal cable to last without breaking at the barrel then put a bit of grease on the cable that runs through the ajuster and barrel and add new grease at every service, the cable will last for a very long time, should do it with any cables.

Moly grease on the pivot bolt, sides of lever/perch pivot area, end of cable, barrel, adjuster. Like BUTTAH BABY!!

also the ajuster slot should be facing towards the rear of the bike, this stops it gawing the inner cable
