I'm going through a Combat motor that has been opened before.
Only cam markings are 6000 or 00009 on one lobe and 42 on another.
Can't find any other markings. It is a scroll cam.
Anyone know what it is?

This is how mine is marked.

Measure the lift on exhaust and intake. If they are close to the same, then it is not a combat cam.

Thanks Jim,
Measure with calipers from the base to the top, They are close. Look close too.
Here's a couple pics. It's either 6000 or 0009, the other number is 42 on another lobe.
No other markings.
According to DD's web site, Mega Cycle has 1/4 x 28 thread on the AA thread. This has 1/4 x 26.
It's probably stock or close to it. Reasonably sure it's not a Combat.

It's definitely not a Megacycle. Megacycle does there cams on a new core with a different scrolling. They also hide there weld-up better.

It's likely someones hardweld copy of a standard cam.

Probably a very good cam, although with the high compression ratio of a Combat head and shorter duration it will be a bit picky on the fuels octane rating.
