Colour coding of Stator

I bought a new Lucas stator and note both cables are coded Green/Yellow where the link up cables on the bike are Green/Yellow and Green/White.
Can this have adverse affects if not correctly connected.
I have heard that Boyer ignition, as in my case can not function correctly.
How could I test for connecting the cables correctly.

(green/yellow and white/green)
No, as stator output is AC.

That's the Boyer 'stator plate' wires not the alternator stator.
