Clutch lever engagement point

I looked around but didn't see anyone else mention this. On my 961 the clutch lever engagement point changes as the bike warms up. Very frustrating since this point gets closer to the handle bar as it warms up. The only thing I can think of to do is try bleeding the system. It has been like this since the first day, and while I can get used to it when I jump on one of my other bikes I'm slipping the hell out of the clutch since I'm now used to the engagement point on the 961. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears, my closest dealer is 550+ miles away so hopefully I can fix it with a good bleed.

My clutch engagement changed when hot for the first 500-700 miles. I mentioned this to my friend Fred and he said his did not. I bled it a couple of times and tried different fluid levels more out of curiosity then anything as it did not effect functioning of the bike. As the bike gained more mileage the engagement became "broader" and this either went away or I no longer notice it. My lever had more freeplay when hot which seems to be the opposite of what yours is doing???

BPHORSEGUY - I may not be doing a very good job of explaining it but I think we are talking about the same thing as mine gets hotter it does feel like it has more freeplay when you first start pulling the lever in like there is a couple mm's of play before the piston starts moving? It is like the release point gets closer to the handlebar as it gets hot and the friction zone gets smaller. I've only got 600 miles so far so maybe I just need to be patient and it will equalize out.

I think I just mis-read your post, I read it again and you are describing it correctly. When I bled mine I did get a few bubbles rising to the top of the fluid so maybe that helps! It only takes a few minutes!
